To hold the Great Image is the state of illuminated oneness. The greatness of God’s nature attracts people to congregate as One Body. We can be part of this Oneness when our soul is aligned with God. The Body of Christ has no harm nor protection because there is nothing harmful. All good things will come to us when we are living in the Body of Christ because we are one with all things. Whether it is the force of nature or law of attraction, the living spirit inside us is the same spirit in the Body of Christ that attracts the things we desire in our life.

The body is a unit made up of many parts. Although all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ, for we are all baptized by one Spirit into one body. God has arranged every part in the body just as he wanted them to be. In fact, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable and the parts that we think are less honorable He treats with special honor. And the parts that are not presentable are treated with special modesty while our presentable parts need no special treatment. Thus, God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there is no division in the body but that its parts have equal concern for each other. If one part of the body suffers, every part suffers with it; and if one part of the body is honored, every part rejoices with it. All parts find their place and there are none that are not at joy and peace. Unfortunately, every person stumbles in many ways and separates from the Body of Christ. The tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men who have been made in God’s likeness. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, authorities, and powers of the dark.  We must put on the full armor of God so that we can stand firm in faith against evil.

The sound of music and good food represents the physical pleasure of the material world which delights the senses; unlike God who seems colorless and flavorless, because He cannot be seen nor heard by ordinary man. God does not seem to offer much but if we pause in our travels (daily life) and search deep within our hearts, we will discover true joy and peace. Perhaps music and good food attracts the attention of travelers, but we must remind ourselves it is only momentary pleasure. When the people saw that Moses was gone for a long period of time, they gather jewelry and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf. They indulge in revelry to the sound of music and feast like wild animals. The travelers turned away from God commandments and they bowed down to a gold calf and sacrificed to it.  Their own selfish desires made them stiff-necked people, unable to hear the Words of God who brought them out of Egyptian slavery. The Israelites believe God’s commandments sounded plain, without a taste for life.

These travelers where not in a state of illuminated Oneness, thus the secret knowledge of God was hidden and silent. Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. They will be ever hearing but never understanding; they will be ever seeing but never perceiving. Therefore, we must make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit, just as we were called to one hope, one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. Those who can stand firm in faith and be One with the Lord, will enjoy limitless blessings. The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. With the measure we use, it will be measured to us and even more. God will never grow tired or weary and his understanding cannot be fathom.
